Join the Emergency Medicine x Social Determinants of Health Lab (EMxSDOH) with Dr. Kelly Doran in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine’s Research Division to assist with our NIH-funded projects, including a NIDA funded study of substance use and related health impacts of a large-scale initiative to place over 9,000 homeless New Yorkers into commercial hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a NIDA funded study of overdose prevention practice implementation in permanent supportive housing. These studies are community-partnered, interdisciplinary, and use mixed methods at the cross-section of substance use and housing.
