Join the Emergency Medicine x Social Determinants of Health Lab (EMxSDOH) with Dr. Kelly Doran in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine’s Research Division to assist with our NIH-funded projects. These projects include a NIDA funded study of substance use and related health impacts of a large-scale initiative to place over 9,000 homeless New Yorkers into commercial hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic, an NINR funded study on the impact of Housing Choice Vouchers on health and housing outcomes, and two NIDA funded studies of overdose prevention practice implementation in permanent supportive housing. These studies are community-partnered, interdisciplinary, and use mixed methods at the cross-section of substance use and housing.
